A DAY2DIE FOR
JAN-9-2000
LOOE

The tiny fishing village of Polperro in Cornwall was stunned by the loss at sea of one of its
young people - a professional fisherman called Daniel Kebble. Daniel died whilst fishing
in Talland Bay on Saturday 8 January 2000. His boat was found empty, and still under power,
smashed into rocks in the bay. Despite an intensive air and sea search by
H.M. Coastguards, the Looe, Fowey and Plymouth lifeboats, and an RAF rescue helicopter,
Daniel's body has not, so far, been recovered.

I was filming a timelapse sunrise and sunset sequence from first light the
next day Sun 9th for a project at Univerity of Plymouth and had no idea why so many boats were at sea that day.
It was only when I went to the harbour later and spoke to a fisherman friend
that I heard the tragic news.
It was such a beautiful day, a day to die for. I dedicate this footage to Daniel's memory.
