www.sheviockbarton.co.uk Certainly. Port Eliot is a large stately home with park and gardens and the festival has a very friendly atmosphere, encouraging intelligent interaction between customers and performers with an intimate ambience.
Yes, theres a special childrens area created by the St.Germans Carnival Committee, including storytellers, events and races and the making of painted props and gadgets.N.B. This a supervised area but it is not a creche. What else is there to do? South east Cornwall is very lively in the summer and there are excellent beaches, sailing centres, golf courses, sea and fresh water angling nearby. What are the events actually like? Entertaining! Our policy is to present a lit fest that is based on entertainment,
invention and fun. Interaction between audience and performers is essential
and the authors are encouraged to abandon their usual repetoire and launch
into something enjoyable, a bit risky and to perform with gusto and originality.
The shows are presented under canvas in the magnificent gardens of Port
Eliot beside a tidal estuary. |
